Four canyons, four different experiences. Sušec is where families and first-timers start. Rio Ronc and Fratarica step things up with rope descents and bigger features. Predelica is the full-day challenge with a 40 metre finale. Aktivni Planet are the Fratarica and Sušec specialists, the two canyons we have guided the longest.

Meet at our base

Check in at Aktivni Planet Outdoor Sports Center in Bovec (or our town-center office in early and late season).

Gear up

Wetsuit, boots, helmet, harness. Fitted properly, sized for comfort and a confident start. You will look ridiculous and feel invincible.

Drive to the canyon

Short drive to the canyon, from 15 to 45 minutes depending on which one. Good time to ask your guide anything.

The approach

A short walk to the canyon entrance. Quick rundown on safety and technique, then you step into the water.

Into the gorge

Jump, slide, swim, repeat. The canyon does the entertaining. You just have to show up and let go.

Celebrate at base

A short exit hike, van back to base. Change, relax at Planet Bar, swap stories from the gorge.

For Sušec, Rio Ronc and Fratarica, no, we teach every technique on the spot. You just need reasonable fitness, and for Fratarica, comfort with heights. Predelica is harder and better suited to experienced or genuinely fit adventurers.

Yes, for all four canyons. You wear a helmet and harness throughout, but every canyon has sections where you swim across pools.

Yes, within each canyon’s minimum age and with swimming ability. Guides adapt the pace and difficulty for younger participants and keep the group close throughout. Sušec is the best choice for families: warm, varied, and without big technical features.

Light rain does not stop us, you are getting wet anyway. Heavier rain can raise water levels, so we reschedule or switch to another canyon. Weather cancellations by us are fully refunded or rescheduled at no cost.

Aktivni Planet was founded in 2001 by members of the Bober team, 6-time world rafting champions. That competitive background shaped our training and safety standards across every activity. Today our team includes guides from across the world, many with competitive achievements of their own.

Depending on the time of year, we meet at one of two locations in Bovec.
Mid-May to end of September: our main base at Industrijska cona 4, 200 m outside Bovec centre toward the Vršič pass. Look for the Planet Bar. Free parking.
April to mid-May and October: our town-centre office at Trg golobarskih žrtev 19, Bovec.
