Not for most activities. We teach everything from scratch, whether that’s paddling technique for rafting on the Soča, moving safely through a canyon, or handling the equipment. Where prior skills are genuinely needed, we say so upfront.

For many activities, absolutely. Zipline, paragliding, and caving don’t involve water at all. Rafting on the Soča does require swimming ability for all options, and canyoning varies by canyon. Each activity page lists exactly what’s needed.

The youngest start at 4 with family rafting. Zipline and caving start at 6, canyoning at 7, paragliding at 10, kayaking at 12. No upper limit if you’re in reasonable health.

Light rain doesn’t stop us, you’ll be getting wet anyway on most activities. Serious conditions like lightning or dangerous water levels mean we move your activity to another time or day that works for you.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your activity. If we cancel due to weather, you always get a full refund or a reschedule at no extra cost.

We’ve been running trips on the Soča since 2001, founded by members of the Bober team, 6-time world rafting champions. That competitive background shaped how we train and run every trip. Today our team includes guides from across the world, many with their own competitive achievements in kayaking and rafting, including a current world champion. They bring back what they learn from international races and rivers, and it shows on the water.

Depending on the time of year, we meet at one of two locations in Bovec. Mid-May to end of September: our main base at Industrijska cona 4, 200 m outside Bovec center toward Vršič pass. Look for the Planet Bar, free parking available. In early spring and October: our town center office at Trg golobarskih žrtev 19.
