Rafting

With your friends or with complete strangers, on the rafts of Aktivni Planet you are always part of the team. Together you fight and flow with Soca to discover Her true treasures. The river offers rafting to everyone. The power of the currents, your age and experience combined with your wishes will tell us where rafting is best. Zipline

For all adrenaline junkies. This zipline is located above Bovec, in the Krnica valley, between two mountains reaching over 2000 meters high: Mt. Kanin and Mt. Rombon. It’s one of the biggest zipline parks in central Europe and is by far the biggest in Slovenia.

Canyoning

For millennia Soca valley limestone has been polished by raging water pouring down the steep spines of the Julian Alps. Mountain streams created channels, falls and pools eventually nursing Soca. These sparkling gorges offer true refreshment especially on hot summer days. We usually walk around to the top and canyon our way down following the water. Walking through the narrows, sliding cascades, plunging into basins or we descend with ropes. No reason to be stuck in a groove. Relive your Aktiv childhood in warm company.

Many guides at Aktivni Planet have competed in kayak and rafting. Our experience continues to grow with international races in slalom kayak, traveling and exploring new rivers in far countries, with teaching youth and with our commitment to Soca. After years of hard practise, we still do what we love – work on the river.

However Soca is not our only playground. If you cannot find your guide on the river he or she may be scratching a scale of limestone at one of the climbing crags nearby or possibly smoking dust cycling down on singletrack. When hunting thermals hanging in the glider or shimmying through a crack in the underworld they are more difficult for you to find.

Kayaking

Kayaking whitewater is arguably the most beautiful sport. Most riverlandscape is untouched nature offering you bountiful challenges while being swept away. Pure pleasure. Kayaking is not only for adrenaline junkies. You can learn to do it in a short period of time and continue kayaking safely for as long as you are mobile – Planetwide. All you need is a good attitude and a healthy appetite for adventure. You can be your own master shifting your floating banana dodging traffic jams. However mostly we paddle with friends sharing a splendid time -maybe fear as well. Kayaking builds you.

Climbing

In the shadows of the forests or hidden from main roads. Sometimes hard to find. Never far from the river. We find numerous crags for rock climbing in the Soca valley. Sport climbing is rock climbing on well protected shorter routes. Climbing crags: Trenta, Kal-Koritnica, Zvikar, Kegle, Pod Kopitcem, Kobarid, Senica, Kanin.

Caving

After every winter snowmelt tries to find its way down the Kanin mountains. Dissolving limestone allows most water to flow directly down. Over ages cracks, tunnels and chambers have been carved turning our rock into ´Swiss Cheese´. Every year speleologists from all over the world visit Kanin to explore these caves. Usually they descend into crevasses starting at higher altitudes and return the same way, sometimes they find a way through the mountain exiting in the valley. Cavers get dirty. At Aktivni Planet we want to take you inside giving you a healthy bite of their experience.
