A river permit is required for all water activities on the Soča. Here's everything you need to know to get yours sorted before your adventure.

SOČA RIVER PERMIT - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Important: Purchase your permit on the day of your activity, not before.

The municipality does not offer refunds, cancellations, or date changes once a permit is issued.

Step 1: Choose a Daily Permit

Select the sector that matches your activity:

SECTOR 1 + SECTOR 2 (Bovec + Kobarid)

For:

  • Classic Rafting
  • Family Rafting
  • Long Rafting

SECTOR 1 (Bovec only)

For:

  • Kayaking

Step 2: Enter Names for All Participants

  • One permit covers up to 5 guests.
  • If your group has more than 5 people, purchase an additional permit for the remaining participants.
  • Children up to 14 years of age qualify for a discounted permit rate. Select the checkbox next to their name, upload a valid ID, and enter their date of birth.

Step 3: You'll Receive a QR Code

Do not activate the permit yourself.

Bring the QR code with you, on your phone or printed. We will activate it when you arrive at our base.
